PSG Star Kylian Mbappe Sets Deadline To Take A Call On His Potential Transfer: Report
Reports suggest Mbappe’s camp and PSG have already agreed to take a final call on the player’s future before the first week of February to prepare for the round of 16 of the Champions League tie.

There seems to be no end to the Kylian Mbappe transfer saga. The World Cup-winning Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) superstar has been a topic of interest in the transfer market, with Real Madrid emerging as his next possible destination last couple of years. With the January transfer window now underway, some latest reports have emerged suggesting Mbappe’s next potential move. As per Spanish outlet Diario Sport, Mbappe’s transfer uncertainty will not go on beyond the first week of February. The Spanish publication claimed that as per L’Equipe’, Mbappe’s camp and PSG have already agreed to take a final call on the player’s future before the first week of February to prepare for the round of 16 of the Champions League tie.

Diario Sport even suggested that Mbappe could very well convey his decision internally during the next fifteen days. The 25-year-old currently has six months left on his PSG contract, which means that he is free to hold talks with foreign clubs before the summer transfer window.

Mbappe had triggered a massive debate last year having refused to sign a 12-month contract extension with PSG. This allows him to leave on a free transfer at the end of the current season. Mbappe was rumoured to see out this season and then decide about his future. Following PSG’s victory against Toulouse in the Champions Trophy, Mbappe talked about his next move.

“I am very motivated for this season. It’s very important, we have trophies to win. Beyond that, no, I haven’t made my decision. With the agreement I reached with the (PSG) president this summer, never mind what decision I take, we managed to protect the serenity of the club for the challenges ahead. That’s the most important thing,” Mbappe was quoted as saying by news agency AP.

“I have no idea. It was made at the end of May 2022 because I didn’t know until May. If I know what I want to do (now), why wait around? But the most important thing is winning trophies. We’re determined, and the team is focused on that,” he added.

Mbappe faced a similar situation before and made PSG wait until the end of his then-contract. He eventually went on to sign a new contract in May 2022 with Real Madrid still trying their best to lure the Frenchman away from the French giants.

In the current Ligue 1 season, Mbappe has so far registered 18 goals and two assists for PSG. Mbappe also found the back of the net in his latest appearance against Toulouse in the Champions Trophy to guide PSG to a 2-0 victory.
