Kylian Mbappe's 16-year-old Brother Ethan Makes PSG Debut to Join Him on the Pitch
Kylian Mbappe's 16-year-old brother Ethan made his debut in PSG's 3-1 win over Metz in Ligue 1.

After watching his brother Kylian Mbappe score for Paris Saint-Germain, 16-year-old midfielder Ethan Mbappe made his debut for the French champion on Wednesday.

The French league leader finished the game with the two brothers on the field after the teenaged Mbappe came on for Manuel Ugarte during stoppage time in a 3-1 home win against Metz.

“It feels great, especially to make my debut here, at the Parc des Princes, in front of our supporters. I’m very happy and I hope more will follow. I think it was a nice birthday present for my brother, I’m very happy for him, as well as for myself. He scored two great goals so I think he’s got to be happy,” Ethan Mbappe said after the match.

Kylian Mbappe scored twice on his 25th birthday to extend his league-leading tally to 18 goals.

“I’m very happy! It’s great for Ethan, but even more so for me as his big brother. I thought it was going to be a special day for me, and this match will live long time in my memories. Ethan coming off the bench was the most important thing this evening, even if winning and scoring goals is always special. It’s a great day,” Kylian Mbappe said.

Ethan Mbappe is as a technically gifted left-footed midfielder and came on to the field with their proud parents in the stands at Parc des Princes. He had been an unused substitute earlier this season against Nice.

He played for the same youth team as his brother Kylian — AS Bondy — and turns 17 on Dec. 29.
