lia Bhatt represented Indian cinema at the Joy Awards 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia looking ethereal in six yards of sheer elegance.

Alia Bhatt kick-started her red carpet moments of 2024 with a royal look. Known for celebrating India and its crafts through versatile and handcrafted silhouettes, Alia Bhatt draped not one but two traditional, rich in culture, Indian sarees on the Joy Awards 2024 red carpet. The stunning Alia Bhatt was spotted in a statement couture Ajrak saree by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.

The Ajrak sari with gold sequin embroidery, paired with an additional ajrak drape was styled by celebrity stylist Rhea Kapoor. Alia’s desi yet contemporary avatar was not just fashionable but also gave the people of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, a glimpse into the world of Indian sarees.

Alia’s ensemble featured not one but two sarees, which included one saree which she draped and another which was styled giving an illusion of a long train. The saree train was strategically pinned onto the back of her blouse and also daintily wrapped around her wrist. A theatrical look for the red carpet, Alia detached the saree from her wrist to use it as a train when she went to receive the award.
