In Tamil cinema, Heera’s notable films include Heart, Nee Badi Naan Badi, Thiruda Thiruda, Sathilelavathy, Kadhal Kotto and Avvai Shanmukhi. Particularly, her performance in the song sequence Potuvaitha Oru Vatta Nila from the movie Heart impressed audiences and earned her widespread acclaim.

Heera’s foray into acting commenced with the Tamil romantic drama film Idhayam in 1991, where she portrayed a medical student caught in a love triangle. The film’s success catapulted her into the limelight and established her as a promising talent in the industry. Subsequent roles opposite actor Sarathkumar and a portrayal as a single mother in Sabash Babu further showcased her versatility.
