Heritage Customs unveils exclusive Land Rover Defender Convertible, limited to 5 units. Sunbeam Yellow paint, bespoke interiors, and more.

Dutch coachbuilder Heritage Customs has kicked off production for the Land Rover Defender convertible, with the second one already in the works at its Enter factory in the Netherlands.

This unique Defender convertible is part of a limited edition, with Heritage Customs planning to produce only five of these stunning vehicles.

Built upon the latest L663-generation Defender 90, the Valiance Convertible has undergone significant modifications to include a sixth seat, special forged wheels, custom leather trim, sports seats, and various changes to both the interior and exterior.

Painted in Sunbeam Yellow color, the Valiance Defender boasts contrasting black elements, such as the roll cage, front bonnet plates, and side air vents. The convertible’s fabric top is meticulously handmade and can be controlled electronically.

Inside, the Valiance Defender is equipped with black quilted upholstery, aluminum paneling, and an extra passenger seat placed at the center of the front row. The interior also features yellow stitching to complement the vibrant exterior paintwork.

The cost of this unique customization is reported to be GBP 58,000 (over Rs 59 lakh), according to Autocar UK. However, it’s essential to note that this amount doesn’t cover any modifications to the powertrain, which will remain in factory specification as chosen by the customer.

Co-owner Niels van Roij describes the convertible as a nod to the Defender’s iconic soft-top style and its rich history. This isn’t van Roij’s first rodeo in creating unique rides; he’s previously turned heads with a Rolls-Royce Wraith-based shooting brake and a Tesla Model S turned into an estate.

Besides this, Heritage hints at another drop-top conversion in the works, teasing enthusiasts with the promise of the “next iteration of the Heritage Customs Valiance Convertible.”
