Inspired by true events, Netflix’s upcoming crime drama Bhakshak premieres on February 9 and is set to cut deep. The film is a Red Chillies Entertainment production, directed by Pulkit and produced by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma. The film stars Bhumi Pednekar, Sanjay Mishra, Aditya Srivastava and Sai Tamhankar in pivotal roles. Now, the makers have revealed a new poster which states that the film’s trailer will be unveiled on January 31.
The film’s trailer will be unveiled tomorrow, Tuesday, January 31. The makers released a new poster with the caption, “BREAKING NEWS: It’s Vaishali Singh reporting live! The fight for justice has begun. #BhakshakTrailer out tomorrow! #Bhakshak, a film inspired by true events coming on 9 February, only on Netflix!”

Bhakshak explores the journey of an unwavering woman’s quest to seek justice. Bhumi Pednekar as Vaishali Singh portrays the role of an investigative journalist who wants to bring to light a heinous crime, laying bare the ground reality of crimes against women. “Our aim was to shed light on the harsh realities of society and spark conversations that lead to meaningful change,” director Pulkit shares. “I’m looking forward to more people joining this important dialogue,” he further adds.
The makers released the thriller film’s teaser on Thursday, January 18. Expressing his thoughts on the film’s release, Gaurav Verma, Producer at Red Chillies Entertainment, says, “We believe in storytelling that not only entertains but also enlightens. This film is a testament to our commitment to narratives that provoke thought and inspire societal reflections. We’re excited to collaborate with Netflix to share this impactful story with audiences worldwide.”
Bhakshak will be released on the streaming platform Netflix on February 9 this year. Fans are excited to watch Bhumi Pednekar on screen as a journalist.
