Actor Hrithik Roshan was recently seen in India’s first aerial action movie, Fighter. He is now all set to start the shooting of War 2. It will be directed by Ayan Mukerji and will star RRR fame star Jr NTR and Hrithik Roshan in lead roles. During his interview with Film Companion recently, Hrithik Roshan said that the shooting of the movie is set to start soon. “It goes on the floor very, very soon, a bit too soon, maybe. I don’t get a breather,” he said. As per a report in The Times of India, the anticipated sequel of the blockbuster movie War is set to go on floors in the second week of February. Hrithik Rohan has already started his preparation for his role of Kabir in War 2. The first schedule of the film is slated to be shot entirely in Mumbai. TOI reports that Ayan Mukerji has already captured overseas location plates approximately two months ago. “Currently, a set is under construction in the city in preparation for Hrithik’s first shooting schedule” claims TOI.
War was the highest-grossing movie of Bollywood in 2019. While talking about his role as Kabir in War 2, Hrithik Roshan said that the character has left a mark in the minds of the audience. “And getting into Kabir’s boots is going to be fun because this time, my challenge is to show Kabir in a different light,” says Hrithik Roshan in an interview with Pinkvilla.
Jr NTR will reportedly join the shoot of the movie after the completion of his movie Devara. War 2 marks the sixth instalment in the YRF Spy Universe, which includes previous films like Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), War (2019), Pathaan (2022), and the upcoming Tiger 3 (2023). This film is expected to continue the storyline from Tiger 3 and will eventually lead to the highly anticipated movie Tiger vs Pathaan. The movie is touted to witness a showdown between Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan.
Hrithik Roshan-starrer Fighter has netted over Rs 100 crore in India and is now racing towards a Rs 300 crore worldwide collection. The movie was directed by Siddharth Anand and also starred Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles.
