Lufthansa Group has unveiled a direct flight service from Bengaluru to Munich, Germany. The eagerly awaited service commenced on November 4.
In a statement that has set the travel world abuzz, Lufthansa declared, “Alongside Delhi and Mumbai, Bengaluru is the third Indian city with a direct connection for travelers via Lufthansa’s 5-star Munich hub.” Remarkably, Bengaluru has secured the distinction of being the very first destination to join Lufthansa’s network in the post-Covid era, marking a significant milestone in the airline’s India operations.
By January 24, 2024, Lufthansa is all set to soar with a total of 64 weekly frequencies between India and Europe, reflecting its unwavering commitment to the Indian market. “This Bengaluru-Munich service represents Lufthansa’s strong commitment to the Indian market as Lufthansa Group’s capacity to India now exceeds pre-COVID levels,” the airline proudly stated.
The airline leaves no stone unturned in ensuring a splendid flying experience, with passengers being treated to the state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900, a marvel in modern and fuel-efficient long-haul aircraft. With the addition of Bengaluru to its network, this city becomes the third in the country to enjoy seamless connectivity with Munich via Lufthansa, following in the footsteps of Delhi and Mumbai.
Furthermore, Bengaluru has now become the fifth Indian city to offer direct connectivity with the European gem of Munich. Travelers can now savor the delight of exploring not only Munich but also London, Frankfurt, Paris, and Amsterdam with Lufthansa.
It’s worth noting that Lufthansa had previously announced plans to launch two flights back in April – one from Munich to Bengaluru and the other from Frankfurt to Hyderabad. While the Frankfurt to Hyderabad route is yet to take off, passengers can anticipate its operations to commence in the near future.
