WATCH: Shah Rukh Khan's Priceless Reaction to Andre Russell Imitating His Signature Pose
Andre Rusell imitated Shah Rukh Khan's signature pose during the ILT20 fixture as Abu Dhabi Knight Riders took the win in the ILT20 fixture.

Andre Russell was spotted imitating the iconic pose of Shah Rukh Khan after his team Abu Dhabi Knight Riders triumphed over Dessert Vipers in a group-league match of the International T20 League on Sunday. The Caribbean all-rounder is recognised as an old buddy of SRK, who owns teams in several franchise cricket tournaments across the globe. The camaraderie between the duo began in 2014 when Russell joined the SRK-co-owned Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise – Kolkata Knight Riders. The Sunil Narine-led Abu Dhabi side featuring in the ILT20 is actually a sister franchise of the KKR.

Shah Rukh Khan was present at the Dubai International Stadium to watch the clash between the Knight Riders and Desert Vipers. After his team clinched a comfortable six-wicket victory, the Bollywood’s ‘Baadshah’ was captured celebrating the win in the stands.

As soon as SRK waved his hands at Russell, the cricketer spread his arms wide in an attempt to mimic the signature pose of the Jawan actor. The friendly interaction between the two was shot by the broadcaster’s camera and the clip took no time to become viral.

It was an easy deal for Abu Dhabi Knight Riders who sent the Desert Vipers to bat first after winning the toss. Skipper Sunil Narine fetched two scalps while pacer Ali Khan claimed a three-wicket haul.

The Desert Vipers ultimately folded their innings at 164 runs in 20 overs, losing 8 wickets along the way. Andre Russell failed to pick any wicket but he was quite economical during his three-over spell, conceding only 18 runs.

Abu Dhabi Knight Riders made a disastrous start to the chase, with Alishan Sharafu returning to the pavilion in the second over. After losing his opening partner early, Andries Gous came out of his shell and went all guns blazing. The wicketkeeper-batter smashed an unbeaten 95 off 50 balls. His blistering knock was laced with five boundaries and seven maximums.

Among others, Michael Pepper made a crucial contribution, scoring 36 off 25 deliveries. Russell didn’t get the chance to bat as Abu Dhabi Knight Riders reached their target in 17.4 overs on the back of a 21-run cameo by Laurie Evans. Narine and Co. will take on MI Emirates in their upcoming game of the ILT20 on Tuesday, January 23.
