Sophie Turner SUES Joe Jonas Days After Divorce Filing, Claims He Refuses To Give Kids' Passport

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas’ divorce has taken an ugly turn. It is reported that Sophie has sued her estranged husband. The Game of Thrones star has allegedly filed a petition in the court asking Joe Jonas to return the couple’s daughters, Willa and her younger sister, back to the UK. It is claimed that Sophie and Joe changed their permanent address to England in April this year. The petition has been filed in a New York court. The petition comes just days after Joe Jonas reportedly filed for divorce and asked for a joint custody of the children.

In documents accessed by Page Six, Sophie has asked for ‘the immediate return of children wrongfully removed or wrongfully retained’. She claimed that the ‘wrongful retention’ began September 20. In documents obtained by Entertainment Weekly, it was revealed that 3-year-old Willa and her 1-year-old little sister — whose initials are said to be DMJ — are ‘dual citizens’ of the United Kingdom and the United States. “The parties were both excited for the family’s move to England,” the document mentioned, as per Page Six.

The publication further added that Sophie and Joe’s marriage broke “very suddenly” following an argument on August 15, which is coincidentally Joe’s birthday, the documents stated. He filed for the divorce on September 5, which Sophie claimed to have learned through the media reports.

“The Father has possession of the children’s passports. He refuses to return the passports to the Mother and refuses to send the children home to England with the Mother,” the document claimed.

Joe and Sophie are yet to comment about the report.

Meanwhile, the publication reported that the children were with Joe since this summer, joining him on his music tour, because Sophie was in England to shoot her upcoming project. “Sophie was busy on set filming this summer, so Joe and Sophie figured this setup would be best for their kids. Sophie and Joe’s children have been with Joe while he’s been touring because he is surrounded by family and it’s nice for the kids to be around their aunts, uncles and cousins,” the source told the international outlet.

TMZ was the first to report earlier this month that Joe and Sophie are headed to a divorce. Shortly after, Joe and Sophie shared a joint statement confirming the news of their split.
