Rohit Sharma and Co. stamped their authority over Pakistan in the ICC ODI World Cup match on Saturday at Narendra Modi Stadium. It was a clinical performance from India as Babar Azam’s Pakistan looked like no match for them which is expected to be a thrilling match. The Pakistan batters failed miserably against a quality Indian bowling attack on a surface where the was not much assistance from for a surface.
After bundling out Pakistan for just 191, Rohit Sharma set the tone for India with a blistering 86-run knock as the hosts won the match by 7 wickets. It was one of the rare one-sided contests played between the two arch-rivals as India made it 8-0 comfortably over Pakistan in the ODI World Cup.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah hoodwinked the Pakistan batters with semi-old ball and a bagful of tricks as India restricted arch-rivals to a lowly 191 in 42.5 overs in a marquee World Cup clash on Saturday. This is Pakistan’s second-lowest score against India in ODI World Cup after 180 all-out back in 1999.
Chasing the target, Rohit smashed the Pakistan bowlers left, right and center to make a mockery of the chase. He smashed 6 fours and as many sixes during his 86-run knock. Shreyas Iyer also managed to hit his first ODI World Cup half-century as he reached the mark with a winning shot.
