The Italian two-wheeler maker Ducati, best known for its top-notch performance, updated its fleet last year and added a new model called Diavel V4. It is the improved or updated version of Diavel 1260, which has received some impressive enhancements in 2023, making it better than ever.
It was launched with a price tag of Rs 25.91 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Since its release, the naked model has received an overwhelming response from the target audience, all thanks to its aerodynamic design and unparalleled performance in the segment.
It has been more than a year since it was introduced in the Indian market, and why are we suddenly digging up old grievances? Well, we had spent a decent time with the model recently and tried to know it more closely. In this detailed article, we have compiled all the USPs of the motorcycle, which makes it shark in the ocean full of fish.
Design and Exclusivity
We feel there would be no one on the entire planet who would spend such a huge amount on any ugly-looking bike. When it comes to the Diavel V4, it feels like every single penny is worth it as it offers an eye-catching stance, impressive style statement and dominating appearance on the road.
It has everything one can ask for! From a robust LED headlight setup (with an insane through) to big air vents on both sides to aggressive lines, it looks completely treat for the eyes. And wait, did we mention its four exhausts on the single side? If not, then this element can’t be ignored as it puts extra feathers to its cap.
The rear section is complimented by a cluster of multiple LEDs, positioned under the tail. Also, a unique, unprecedented and spectacular solution that makes the bike instantly recognizable. Undoubtedly, the one who would ride this gorgeous beast, surely will feel like the main character of some Marvel movie.
Performance
First thing first, the breath-taking performance. Despite a slight decrease in the engine size compared to the outgoing model, the improved version ensures that the riders feel the same drill as before even in a better way. It has been treated with a refined 1158cc engine, generating a maximum power of 165 bhp and 126 Nm of peak torque.
The setup is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, ensuring customers feel the adrenaline in hand while going crazy with the throttle.
Handling
It has become light compared to its predecessor, offering an overall weight of 236 kg. The vehicle features a chassis with a monocoque frame and single-sided swingarm, both made of aluminium.
Despite having decent body mass, the vehicle ensures that the customer feels smooth riding customers, no matter on which terrain it is being tested. To note, the bike might make your leg hot as it generates a lot of heat from the engine. It is not a defect; it is like a signature of every Ducati’s offering.
Comfort and Ergonomics
Riding Position: The Diavel V4 comes with an upright riding position, which offers great comfort during long-distance rides. It is worth mentioning that the company has also been thoughtful about the pillion as well, giving the rear seat maximum comfort, and making it more practical for extended journeys.
Suspension: The model gets a fully adjustable suspension setup, which consists of 50 mm diameter upside-down forks at the front, while the rear is treated with a single shock absorber with a separate piggyback reservoir.
Features
The updated Ducati Diavel V4 comes with a long list of advanced features. The list includes the push start button, a separate switch for handle locking, multiple riding models including touring ones, 5-inch Bluetooth-enabled TFT colour display that allows the rider to monitor every single detail related to the bike.
Here’s What We Feel
We somehow rode the bike from around 380km to 400km, putting it on extreme road conditions in the hope get some minus points in terms of performance. But, guess what, we failed (happily). From giving us unwanted attention to ensuring we enjoy every mile with every single throttle, Diavel V4 somehow did justice.
Ignoring the heating problem, the model is surely worth every single penny. If you are a true bike enthusiast looking for a naked bike under 1200cc segment, giving a shot to Diavel v4 would be a wise choice. Thank Us Later in our Instagram reel, attached above.
