In a move to enhance connectivity and offer better transport facilities to the public, the Indian railway has launched Vande Bharat Express in Kerala. The train will run on the Ernakulam-Bengaluru route, offering passengers a comfortable travelling experience.
The train has already kickstarted the operation from today itself. It has been reported that the train will run three times a week, and the service will be available on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
Timing
The train will leave Ernakulam junction at 12:50 PM, and will reach the Bengaluru city at 10:00 PM. On the return journey, it will depart the Bengaluru Bengaluru Cantt station at 5:30 AM and arrive at its destination (Ernakulam) at 2:20 PM.
It has been reported that the train will make multiple stops throughout the long journey. It will be stopped at selected locations. The list includes Palakkad, Thrissur, Tirupur, Podanur, Salem and Erode. The stoppage pattern has been set in such a manner that will make the journey more convenient for every passenger.
Ticket Fare
Talking about the ticket charges, the AC Chair Car will cost Rs 1,465, while passengers opting for Executive Chair Car, will be charged Rs 2,945. These fares have been set for the premium class service on the high-speed train, which will save time and offer top-class amenities and comfort.
Benefits
The move is expected to make life more easy for all the Bengaluru-based Malayalis working in IT firms. The train will save time and energy as has been designed to run at an average speed of 180 km/h. The sole purpose of this latest addition is to offer a faster-travelling alternative for public on the Kerala-Bengaluru route.
