Mahindra unveiled its plans to shape the ‘Future of Mobility’ at the Auto Expo 2018. The company is focusing and working aggressively towards sustainable mobility solutions that are technologically advanced and aim to address the evolving needs and preferences of the consumers. As a part of this, the company showcased the Mahindra Udo and the Atom concept. The UDO is a stylish 2 seater electric pod concept; whereas the ATOM is a new age urban mobility solution for emerging India.
UDO is designed to tackle the traffic congestion and pollution in urban environments. The electric pod caters to tech savvy urban citizens and comes with a cabin having micro lighting, climate control, touchscreen infotainment system, and Bluetooth audio system.
One of the interesting features of the Udo is the Smart Fitness system which allows the users to work on their cardio while commuting! The tadpole construction ensures that the driver doesn’t need to use his/her foot to balance the vehicle when it’s standing still.
The Atom, on the other hand, aims to re-imagine the last mile connectivity solution for India’s upcoming smart cities. It has a minimalist design to achieve a compact footprint while maximizing interior space.
Atom’s on board connectivity system is designed to make seamless bookings and payments. The system also provides real time updates on next train, bus or flights, and nearest boarding points. The Mahindra Atom concept also offers several convenient and safety features.
