The top Czech Republic carmaker Skoda is gearing up to add another compact SUV to its India fleet. The company is likely to break the cover from the latest offering by the start of next year (January 2025).

Ahead of the official release, the new sub-4 meter SUV has been spied during the testing phase. The leaks have revealed some important details about the vehicle, giving an idea of how it look in the future.

Talking about the size, the model might look slightly shorter compared to Kushaq. However, it is expected to offer a decent space inside the cabin, offering a comfortable driving experience to all the occupants.

The leaks also suggested that the upcoming offer might share a similar design as the new sub-4 meter SUV. It will share a similar exterior, featuring a similar headlight setup and sleek LED DRLs.

Platform

The report says the four-wheel will be based on the MQB A0-IN platform. It is the same platform that underpins top-selling products Kushaq and Slavia.

Engine and Power

Most of the spec-related details are under wrap as yet. However, some leaks suggested that it might use a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, which will generate a maximum power of 113 BHP and 178 Nm. The setup will be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Rivals

Once launched, the vehicle will compete against the ongoing Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, newly launched Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue
