Skoda India has launched the updated Yeti at Rs 18.63 lakh (ex-Maharashtra). There are two variants and both are available only in the Elegance trim.
The Yeti retains its boxy shape however in a more delectable package than before. The new headlamps are bigger and seem more angular while the grille is now in sync with the rest of the Skoda family. Skoda has given the Yeti adaptive halogen lamps as well as daytime running LEDs.
Front fog lamps also get cornering function. The SUV looks more aggressive than before. All-new alloys and new LED lights at the rear complete the changes made to the exterior.
Inside, the cabin feels familiar. The steering wheel unit is a new three-spoke one and the central display is also a fresh design. The upholstery is done in dual tone brown-black and the touchscreen audio system is also similar to the unit in the Superb. Skoda has added a parking sensor display as well as Bluetooth connectivity to this system. The boot space is 416 litres.
The engine is the same as the outgoing model's, a 2.0-litre turbo diesel in two power configurations. In the four-wheel drive model, the Yeti's engine makes 140PS of power and 320Nm of torque and comes mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
