12th Fail Star Vikrant Massey Meets IPS Manoj Sharma, Calls Him 'Asli Hero'; See Photo

Vikrant Massey’s recent win at an awards show is special for him. He clinched the Best Actor (Critics), beating well-known actors for his role in 12th Fail, a film based on the life of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma. The movie, released last year, received widespread acclaim, with Vikrant’s performance particularly praised.

Taking to social media to share a photo of himself posing with reel-life Manoj, Vikrant Massey, Manoj Sharma wrote, “Jab ek Manoj dusre Manoj ko apni Filmfare trophy dikhaane laata hai, tab uss par aur bhi pyaar aata hai (When one Manoj brings his Filmfare trophy to show another Manoj, then the love for him increases).” Re-sharing the photo on his Instagram story, the actor referred to the IPS office as the “asli hero (real hero).”

Only recently, Karan Johar praised the film and Vikrant’s performance during a live session. He said, “Stunning film. Absolutely brilliant. I was just blown away by the brilliance of its narrative, Vinod’s command over craft and all his technician, actors. Vikrant..my god Vikrant was..he just took my heart away with his portrayal. He was just fantastic. I broke down when I saw that film. The last moment of the film when he falls down on his knees… I was crying as much as he was. He just left me with such emotion in my heart. And with Medha, I have to say that we haven’t met Medha, but we look forward to meet you. You are so talented. You sing so beautifully.”

Adapted from Anurag Pathak’s book and starring Vikrant Massey and Medha Shankar, 12th Fail narrates the life story of Manoj Kumar Sharma. Overcoming severe poverty, Sharma went on to achieve the rank of Indian Police Service officer. The film sheds light on his journey, highlighting the pivotal role played by his wife, IRS officer Shraddha Joshi, in his success.
