Suriya’s much-anticipated film Kanguva, which is currently in its filming phase, has been making headlines for various reasons. Kanguava is touted to be one of the most expensive films in Indian cinema. Directed by Siva, the film’s large schedule has already been shot in Thailand. Amidst the progressing shoot in Chennai, a tragic incident occurred which left the actor Suriya injured. In the aftermath, the shoot was halted. As per the latest updates, the doctors have advised the actor to take a rest for two weeks before resuming the shoot.
As per reports, during the shoot of a fight scene, a rope camera accidentally fell on the actor on the sets of Kanguva. Fortunately, the actor escaped a major accident but there was a slight injury on Suriya’s shoulders. In view of this unforeseen accident, the doctors suggested the actor take a break from shooting for two weeks as it is required for him to get proper treatment, as reported by Times Of India.
Earlier, Suriya addressed the accident and updated his fans about his well-being. He took to X to share a post on X and wrote, “Dear Friends, well-wishers and my Anbaana Fans. Heartfelt thanks for the outpouring of ‘get well soon’ messages. Feeling much better. Always grateful for all your love.”
Speaking of Kanguva, the film stars Malang actress Disha Patani alongside Suriya. Directed by Siva and produced by Studio Green in association with UV Creations, the movie is an action drama set in different periods. The film is expected to release in early 2024. The makers had earlier announced the title of the movie with an interesting teaser clip that displayed a night background with an eagle, a dog, and a masked warrior riding a horse with a massive army following him.
Suriya, meanwhile, was last seen in Pandiraj’s Etharkkum Thunindhavan. The movie did not perform as per the expectations and collected a decent amount at the box office. As far as his upcoming projects are concerned, he will also be seen in Suriya43 (tentatively titled) opposite Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Varma and Nazriya Fahadh.
