From Teacher To Secretariat Officer, This Bihar Woman’s Success Story Is Inspiring
Riya secured the position of General Branch Officer in the Bihar Secretariat in her very first attempt.

Riya Sah, a resident of Jogbani Municipal Council in Araria district (Bihar), is gaining attention for her recent success story. She started her professional journey as a+2 teacher in Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE) 2.0. She has now cleared the examination for the position of General Branch Officer in the Bihar Secretariat. Riya has clinched the position of General Branch Officer in the Bihar Secretariat in her first attempt, organised by the Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC). Reflecting on her journey, she highlighted the importance of determination and strong willpower. Riya expressed her commitment to keep moving forward and encouraged others to follow suit.

Riya, who has two sisters and one brother, received praises from her husband, Naveen Raj. He is working at the SBI Araria branch. He lauded her success and stressed the importance of building an environment that pushes women to make a mark in the professional realm. He believes a suitable working environment for women is necessary for their overall growth.

Sharing advice for women preparing for competitive exams, Riya Sah highlights the need for specific books and the need for a strong foundational understanding. She recommended starting with self-study, encouraging candidates to read whenever possible, and studying the NCERT book for the competitive exams.

Her father, Swaminath and mother, Meena Devi believe that sons and daughters should be treated equally. They stress the importance of encouraging their daughters, stating that with the right support, daughters can achieve success and become independent.

Recently, the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) announced the results of the teacher examination in 20 subjects for class 11th and 12th on Monday. A total of 22,131 candidates have successfully cleared the examination.

The subjects covered in the results include History, Psychology, Entrepreneurship, Philosophy, Home Science, Sociology, Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Economics, Music, Maithili, Pali, Prakrit, Bhojpuri, Magahi, Bengali, and Sanskrit.
