Students who were placed under ‘needs improvement’ and those absent in the Gujarat Class 10 exam will be allowed to improve their score in a maximum of 3 subjects

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has commenced the application process for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) for supplementary exams 2024. Candidates who were absent or marked fail will be eligible to apply for the GSEB SSC supplementary exam 2024 by visiting the official website of the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board at gsebeservice.com.

Students who were placed under ‘needs improvement’ and those absent in the Gujarat Class 10 mark sheet 2024 will be allowed to improve their score in one or a maximum of three subjects through the supplementary exams. The deadline to submit the compartment exam application form is May 22 until 5 pm.

Schools should ensure that students apply for the supplementary examination 2024 online through the board’s website at gseb.org or sscpurakreg.gseb.org. It’s worth noting that students in the PwD category and girls are exempt from paying fees for compartment exams.

Moreover, the state board informed that students who failed the standard mathematics can change the subject to basic mathematics while applying for the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Secondary School Certificate (GSEB SSC) compartment exam 2024.

The board said, “The mode of acceptance of the application form in person or by post is not in force. So, the list of students need not be sent to the board.”

“Students who have passed the Gujarat board class 10 exams conducted in March 2024 with basic mathematics (18) and are desirous of seeking admission in Class 11 group A and group AB science streams can apply online for standard mathematics (12) subjects from the same school,” it added.

This year, the overall pass percentage in the GSEB Class 10 result stood at 82.56 per cent, which was the highest in the last 10 years. However, last year it was recorded at 64.62 per cent.

A total of 1,389 schools registered a 100 per cent result this year in comparison with the 272 schools in 2023 and 292 in the year 2022. However, as many as 264 schools have registered a result below 30 per cent.
