Meet The Mother-daughter Trio Who Cleared UPSC

The Civil Services Exam conducted by the Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) is counted as one of the most coveted exams in India. It requires great perseverance and effort to pass these exams. A candidate named Himani Dabi cleared this exam and also trained her daughters well to pass this illustrious examination. Himani’s daughters are Tina and Ria Dabi. About Himani Dabi

Himani worked as an Indian Engineering Services Officer and worked as a government officer for many years. She then took Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS) and devoted her time fully to teaching her daughters. Employees who have completed ten years of service or are above 40 years may retire by opting for VRS. Himani secured her degree in engineering at the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal. Besides teaching the children, Himani also looked after the household responsibilities. Himani’s husband worked as the general manager of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).

About Tina Dabi

Tina Dabi became the All India Topper in the UPSC Civil Services Examination in 2015. After the appointment. She has dominated the headlines for a long time for her work. Even today, she remains very active on social media and always remains in the headlines for her work. Currently, she is the District Collector of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. Her husband Pradeep Gawande is also an IAS (Indian Administrative Service) officer. Both of them got married in 2022. Once in an interview, Himani said that preparing for the UPSC exam is not an easy task. Keeping this in mind, Tina’s mother left her job so that she could devote full time to her daughter’s studies.

Tina embraced motherhood in September 2023 with the birth of a baby boy.

About Ria Dabi

Himani Dabi’s second daughter Ria Dabi also passed the UPSC exam in 2020 and got selected for IAS. She is currently posted in Udaipur. Ria bagged the All India Rank (AIR) 15th rank in the UPSC examination held in 2020. Like her elder sister Tina, Ria is also very active on social media.
