No Age Relaxation For Teachers’ Recruitment In BPSC Phase 3: Patna HC
The BPSC issued a notice mentioning that no age relaxation will be provided.

In the third phase of teacher recruitment in Bihar, candidates will not be granted an age relaxation of 10 years, according to reports. The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) earlier mentioned that the examination of the third phase has started today, July 19 and is set to continue till July 22. The BPSC issued a notice mentioning that no age relaxation will be provided, following a decision by the Patna High Court. This step was taken by the board after a petition was filed requesting a 10-year age relaxation in the third phase of the recruitment drive. A similar relaxation was offered by the board in the first phase of the recruitment drive. The petition was reportedly rejected by the court and the board has now announced that they will not provide any of the 10-year age relaxation in this current phase of the examination.

For the third phase of the recruitment drive, around 87,774 vacancies have been announced for PRT (Primary Teacher), Upper PRT (Primary Teacher), Secondary Teacher, and other posts. Candidates who are appearing for the recruitment examination need to carry their admit card to get entry to the examination centre.

The state’s Education Department stated that the matter is dismissed in accordance with the Bihar State School (Recruitment, Transfer, Disciplinary Action, and Service Conditions) Rules, 2023.

The Patna High Court also ordered the board to release the supplementary results of the first phase of the recruitment drive. According to media reports, the results for the first phase of the BPSC teacher recruitment exam were released in October 2023. The BPSC refused to issue the supplementary results. In the first phase of the teacher recruitment drive, around 2773 candidates successfully cracked the examination, while a total of 4797 vacancies were announced. Due to the non-issuance of the supplementary results, 2024 seats remained vacant. Keeping this in mind the court ordered the release of the supplementary results.
