Within the colourful tapestry of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding festivities, the first function, ‘Lagan Lakhvanu,’ set the setting with classic Gujarati grandeur.
Glistening and radiant, Radhika adorned the ceremony with a breathtaking pastel-blue lehenga expertly designed by Anamika Khanna. The outfit, adorned with a dainty pink choli with flowers, flowed into a matching dupatta that was draped gracefully in the manner of a traditional saree. She accessorised herself with a trio of style pieces that complemented her dress: a diamond bracelet, matching earrings, a maang teeka, and a three-tiered neckpiece, each of which reflected her natural elegance and grace.

Her cheekbones were stroked by a soft glow, and her lips glistened with a trace of gloss behind well-defined eyes that screamed beauty. Her gorgeous hair, which was parted in the middle and fell in soft waves, gave her ensemble a touch of classic charm.
Anant and Radhika’s marriage festivities began with the Gujarati ritual called Lagan Lakhvanu. For those who are unaware, the wedding invitation, called ‘Kankotri’, will be penned with reverence and presented to the gods as a holy gift of invitation, seeking blessings for the upcoming union as the families unite in love. Anant and Radhika, who are firmly rooted in custom and hold a deep regard for their cultural background, also embarked on their journey together, with the auspicious ceremony of Lagan Lakhwanu, respecting the sacredness of rituals.
Their marriage, which was based on the ties of friendship and love, was formally sealed on the sacred grounds of Nathdwara, Rajasthan, in December 2022. It culminated in an engagement ceremony on January 19, 2023, amid the colourful festivities of Gol Dhana in Mumbai. An ode to their classy style, Radhika looked ethereal in her lavish gold embellishments, while Anant looked sophisticated in his navy-blue kurta pyjama.
It goes without saying that Radhika looked stunning in her first wedding dress for the Lagan Lakhwanu ceremony, which pays tribute to the interwoven traditions of love and affection.
