Here we go with the second half!

We are about to begin with the second half which promises to be just as exciting with Atletico de Kolkata having it all to do. Can they get the equaliser, or will NorthEast United FC hold on to this lead?

Highlanders go into the break with a one goal lead. NorthEast United FC started off strongly and were rewarded for the good start when the referee awarded them a penalty in the 9th minute. Simao stepped up and converted the penalty superbly to give his team the lead. ATK then started to create chances but failed to make them count which is why they still find themselves trailing.

End of First Half: NorthEast United FC 1-0 Atletico de Kolkata

45+3': Gavilan's deflected shot takes an irregular bounce before Rehenesh makes the save. Good save.

45+1': Three minutes of time will be added in the 1st half.

45': Nico Velez unselfishly lays its off for Bruno but Franco makes a vital intervention to deny the visitors their second goal.

42' Rafique dives onto Franco's cross from the right but his headed effort lacks power.

38': Rafique puts in a delightful cross from the right and Hume's header loops just over.

35': Borja lines up a strike from range and goes for it. But Rehenesh gets behind the ball makes the save.

34': Off-side! Nicolas Velez taps the ball into the empty net but is flagged offside. For a moment it looked like the visitors had doubled their lead but the linesman saved the day for ATK.

32': NorthEast United FC are bossing in the midfield so far. Jewel Raja and Borja Fernandez are no match to Silas and Bruno at the moment.

Attack Index - The visitors have been in total control of the game so far and it justifies the numbers on the Attack Index. NorthEast United FC with 77% have had 4 crosses and 1 shot. ATK only managed 2 crosses with no shots in the first fifteen minutes.

28': Nico Velez is slipped in behind and he goes for goal from inside the box. But it flies over. Bruno sends Nicolas Velez through on the right side and it is a good chance for the striker to make the keeper work. However, he sends his shot way over the post on this occasion. That was a good chance for the visitors double their lead.

24': Gavilan almost threads the perfect through ball for Hume but Lopez makes a crucial interception.

22': Jaime Gavilan sets himself up for a shot from outside the box. He connects sweetly with his left foot but fails to keep the shot on target.

20': Carlos Lopez is booked by the referee for a tug on ATK stiker Iain Hume

16': Mohammed Rafique gets the ball on the right and has plenty of space to make the cross. He does the right thing by playing the early ball into the box but it is a wayward one and too close to the keeper. The wide men will have to provide better service to Hume if they want to create chances from the crosses.

14': The visitors are in firm control of the game with Simao making the difference. He is passing the ball around and spreading play beautifully for his team at the moment.

11': This is Sabrosa's 3rd goal in the ISL. All his goals have come from set-pieces! Accurate.

9': GOAL!!! The Highlanders are ahead as Simao slots the penalty past the diving Amrinder! He side-footed the ball into the right, the keeper guessed correctly but failed to keep the ball out.

7': Penalty to NorthEast United! Can they score and take the lead? Simoa to take the spot kick. Just as Simao sends in his corner into the box, the referee points to the spot as he notices some pushing and shoving on Lopez. Looks like Nato is the player who sent Lopez down with a push.

5': Jaime Gavilan steps up to take the first corner of the game and it is a woeful one. His standing foot slips just as he goes to kick the ball and it causes him to miscue the corner straight out of play. Change of boots for the Spaniard maybe?

2': Hosts Atletico de Kolkata are aggressive from the word go! They are trying to control possession.

Kick-off! Atletico de Kolkata skipper Borja Fernandez wins the toss and selects the side first. NorthEast United FC to begin proceedings with the kick off.

The players are out for the Indian National Anthem! Kick is just a few moments away.

As many as five changes have been made with Simao, Nicolas, Velez, Reagan, Bruno, and Siam Hanghal all starting tonight. Francis Dadzie, Diomansy Kamara, Sanju, Seityasen and Cedric Hengbart have been rested.

(Welcome to our Live coverage of match 32 of the Indian Super League between Atletico de Kolkata and NorthEast United FC at the Salt Lake Stadium.)

Having put their wobbly campaign back on track with a 4-1 thrashing of Mumbai City FC, champions Atletico de Kolkata (ATK) face a chance to avenge their first-leg loss against NorthEast United FC (NEUFC) in an Indian Super League (ISL) home match here on Saturday.

ATK lost 0-1 to NEUFC at Guwahati in the first leg earlier in the tournament at Guwahati, succumbing to Argentine striker Nicolas Velez's 77th minute strike despite creating several chances only to foozle them.

The defeat was their third consecutive one, after losing to FC Pune City and Delhi Dynamos. Coincidentally, they went down in all those three matches by a 0-1 margin.

With their backs to the wall, Atletico went into the offensive from the start against Mumbai City FC and thanks to their Canadian forward Iain Hume's superlative performance thrashed the hosts 4-1 to infuse some much-needed confidence in the squad.

Hume's superb hat-trick and Augustine Fernandez's timely goal brought back life into an attack that was seemingly toothless in the earlier matches.

Their opponents, NorthEast have lost four, won two and drawn one so far to be at the bottom spot in the standings. After losing their first three matches, they edged past two heavyweights, beat Chennaiyin FC (2-0) and ATK (1-0).

What's your reaction?
