The Portuguese star has been heavily linked with a move away from La Liga with his contract with los Blancos expiring only in 2015.

Star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo took to twitter rubbishing rumours that the 28-year-old forward was renewing his contract with Real Madrid.

The Portuguese star has been heavily linked with a move away from La Liga with his contract with los Blancos expiring only in 2015.

"All the news about my renewal with Real Madrid are false," he said via his official Twitter account.

Ronaldo, who has long been reported to be unhappy with his current deal, was linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu with a return to former club Manchester United. Big money spenders this season, Monaco, too put their bid in for the 2008 Ballon d'Or winner with a whopping €100 million mega-money offer.

Chelsea have also been linked with a move for Ronaldo, who joined Real Madrid in a world-record £80m deal from Manchester United in 2009.
