New Delhi: Manchester United will start as favourites for the English Premier League title this year, when they face Wigan Athletic on Sunday.
Though Manchester United are level at the top of the table with Chelsea, their superior goal difference means they just need a win to guarantee the title.
Chelsea and Manchester United go into Sunday's final round of games level on 84 points, with Chelsea facing Bolton at home and United traveling to Wigan.
Chelsea are unbeaten in their last 20 league games with as many as 14 goals in their last eight games.
"So we have been given a battle and if they take the championship, I am not sure if it will on goal difference. So we give them a good battle. What ever will happen, I am very proud of what we did at this club and I am very proud of the players," Chelsea coach Avram Grant, who received his Manager of the Month award on Saturday before facing the media, said.
But Sir Alex Ferguson will start with a definite advantage. If United beat Wigan by 1-0, Chelsea will have to beat Bolton 18-0 to overhaul United's superior goal difference and take the title on goals scored.
"I said at the start of the season that we will see it go to the wire. I am sorry I said that. But see now we have to win a game to win the league. So it is a good incentive for us, " Ferguson said.
Ferguson would certainly not be expecting any favours from Wigan manager and former United captain Steve Bruce.
But Bolton could definitely help Ferguson by springing a surprise at Chelsea.
