Germany could lose Marco Reus for the World Cup after he pulled up with an ankle injury on Friday. Mid-way through their warm-up match with Armenia, the Borussia Dortmund playmaker suffered the setback.

The BVB star spent a few minutes on turf but eventually limped off on the stroke of half time and was replaced by Arsenal's Lukas Podolski. The 25-year-old becomes the latest star who could miss out in Brazil, following the confirmed absences of Radamel Falcao and Franck Ribery.

Joachim Low's side eventually ran out 6-1 winners against the Armenians in Mainz. Incredibly, all seven goals were scored in the second half as Andre Schurrle opened proceedings on 52 minutes.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan equalised from the penalty spot before Podolski, Benedikt Howedes and Miroslav Klose scored three in five minutes. Mario Gotze added two in the last 10 minutes as the Germans recorded a resounding win.
