Milan: Inter striker Diego Milito is confident that they will recover from their disappointing start to the season soon.
The Italian giants suffered a shock 1-0 home defeat to Turkish club Trabzonspor in their opening Group B match in the Champions League on Wednesday. This followed a 4-3 away loss to Palermo in their first game of Serie A on Sunday.
Gian Piero Gasperini's side were already under pressure after their defeat in Sicily and will come under more criticism after going down at San Siro, but Milito believes that they will bounce back.
"We know that there is criticism in football, especially for us," the Argentina international is quoted as saying by Inter's official website. "We have to look ahead and continue on our path.
"We have great qualities to do well. Right now the results are not the ones we want, but we are at the beginning and we still have everything in our hands. We are all convinced that we'll do great things together."
Reflecting on their performance at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza against Trabzonspor, the 32-year-old said: "When you make a mistake in this type of competition you pay for it. This happened today.
"We had given away little and we let in an incredible goal, but unfortunately that's how it went. Now we have to move forward and look towards Saturday [the Serie A match against Roma at home]."
The other game in the group was between Lille and CSKA Moscow in France and it ended in a 2-2 draw.
