Milan: Brazil forward Robinho has transferred to AC Milan, the second major signing in four days for the Italian club following Zlatan Ibrahimovic's move from Barcelona.
Milan announced on Tuesday that Robinho had signed a four-year contract after a full transfer from Manchester City. The deal reportedly cost Milan €15 million ($19 million).
"Our goal has to be to win very important titles," Robinho told Milan's TV channel. "All the Brazilians on the team will give me a big hand inserting myself into the squad. I hope to create a lot of history for this club."
Robinho was sent on loan to Brazilian side Santos last season.
Milan opened Serie A with a 4-0 win over Lecce on Sunday, and has greatly strengthened its chances of challenging five-time defending Serie A champion Inter Milan.
"It's really been a great transfer campaign and the fans understand that, which you can see in season-ticket sales," Milan vice president Adriano Galliani said.
