Actress Sophie Turner recently stepped out a for a match day with Taylor Swift days she moved into one the latter’s properties in New York. This news comes amid Turner’s ongoing divorce battled with Joe Jonas.
On Sunday night, Taylor and Sofie made a star-studded appearance for Chiefs-Jets game at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. The two were seen hanging out together in a suite during the Chiefs’ 23-20 victory over the Jets. Apart from them, they were joined by a bunch of celebrity guests including Blake Lively, Robyn Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Sabrina Carpenter, Antoni Porowski, and director Shawn Levy.
Looks like Taylor Swift has Sophie Turner’s back during her ugly divorce with Joe Jonas. The Bad Blood singer, who previously dated the Jonas Brothers singer, has reportedly lent her New York City apartment to the Game of Thrones star for her to stay with her daughters, Willa and her younger sister. The report about Taylor helping Sophie comes just days after the duo was spotted out and about on a dinner date.
A source told Page Six that Taylor had set aside the Tribeca property for investment purposes. However, she has handed over the keys temporarily to Sophie for her disposal. An insider also said that Sophie has already moved into the house and was seen checking out the locality. Taylor and Sophie are yet to comment on the report.
Last week, Sophie sued Joe and asked him to return their children to London, their current official residence. But an interim consent order obtained by CNN and filed in New York shows that the “Game Of Thrones” actress and the Jonas Brothers singer have reached a temporary agreement to keep their daughters, born in 2020 and 2022, in the states.
“The parties have agreed to the entry of the attached proposed Interim Consent Order, without prejudice to either party’s claims and defenses, prohibiting the removal of the parties’ children from the jurisdictions of the United States District Courts for the Southern & Eastern Districts of New York pending further order of this Court,” the documents states.
In her petition last week, Sophie mentioned that the now-estranged couple was to move to the UK and they had found their “forever home”. They’d mutually agreed on settling in the UK before the divorce was filed. Sophie and Joe are yet to react to the claims.
So far, the former couple has only issued a joint statement confirming the split. “After four years of wonderful marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children,” they wrote.
