Quick Steps

Connecting to a Computer via Bluetooth

Turn the keyboard on. Each keyboard will be slightly different, but there should be an on switch along the top edge of your keyboard to switch it on.

Ensure one of the Easy-Switch buttons is flashing repeatedly. It will likely be the Easy-Switch button with a 1 on it. This means the keyboard is in pairing mode. The Easy-Switch button has an icon that looks like a computer monitor, a tablet, and a phone. If the Easy-Switch button isn't blinking rapidly, press and hold it for 3 seconds. If your keyboard doesn't have an Easy-Switch button, press the pc button for Windows, Linux, and Chrome OS computers, and the i button for macOS computers.

Open the Bluetooth pairing menu on your computer. If you're not sure how to do this, check out our detailed article Bluetooth for Windows, Mac, and Linux computers.

Choose your keyboard from the list of available Bluetooth devices. The device name will be the same as the keyboard's model name.

Type the code shown on the screen. You will be prompted to enter a 6-digit code on your keyboard. Type it in, then press Enter.

Click Connect. Your keyboard is now connected to your computer via Bluetooth.

Connecting to a Computer via Receiver

Plug the wireless receiver into one of the USB ports on your computer. If you can't find the wireless receiver, look under the battery cover. The receiver is usually stored here when it's not in use. As soon as you plug in the receiver your keyboard will be connected, but it may take a moment to install any drivers for the keyboard.
