Sample furry head.
Shape the head outline as if you were drawing a animal's head. Make a circle or oval with a pointed bottom, for a chin/snout. It doesn't need to be perfect right now- you can improve later. It helps to add a plus or cross over the circle for when you add the facial features.
Add a nose or nostrils of any kind you want. A triangle with rounded edges with the top facing down usually works best.
Pick a mouth. It can be a cartoon style, it could be showing fangs, it could be closed, it's your choice! A cute option can be to make it smiling and have one tooth pointing out of the corner. Keep the fursona's species into consideration- don't add sharp, carnivorous teeth to a goat!
Add eyes! If you need help, search for animal eyes/fursona eyes online!
Add patterns and designs to the head if you would like to. You can add stripes, dots, or any kind of special stripes or hallmarks to your fursona's face to make it more unique. Again, keep the species in mind!
Add ears; any kind at all! Popular ones include foxes, cats, rabbits, or even dragons, but it can be any kind.
Add hair, collars, whiskers, a hat, tufts of fur at the top of its head, or even gems! These are all optional, of course; just things to spice your fursona up and make it unique.
Come up with a signature for your fursona, such as a spike collar or ear piercing. This makes your fursona more diverse, but of course, you don't have to.
Color in your fursona's head!
Enjoy your fursona!
