Download the Amino app from the App Store if you haven't already. Sign in or create an account.
Enter an Amino community or join a new one. You'll always start off in every Amino at the lowest level, if the creator of the Amino has enabled the feature. The beginning level is Level 1, with the maximum level you can reach being level 20.
Read the rules. Before you do anything, you must familiarize yourself with the rules and guidelines of that Amino community. Each Amino may have different rules, so don't assume that all Aminos follow the same structure.
"Like" posts. Scroll through the latest or featured feeds and see what other users are posting. Tap the heart icon under the post to like it.
Leave comments. Be an active conversationalist. By being friendly and social, you will establish yourself as a person that people look forward to talking to.
Follow other users. When you meet users you like, add them to your following list. Their posts will appear in your follow feed, and you can see whenever they update.
Make posts of your own--blogs, polls, questions, and so on. By creating your own content, you're providing others with information, entertainment and discussion. This is what communities need to thrive.
Avoid bad behavior. It's the Internet, so you may see something that makes you very angry. You can get permanently banned from an Amino if you continuously break rules, even if you think what you're doing or saying is justified.
Be an active member of the community. The more you participate, the higher your reputation will climb. When your reputation reaches a certain point, you will advance to the next level.
