Open FaceApp on your iPhone or iPad. It’s the blue, pink, purple, and yellow person icon typically found on the home screen. If you haven’t yet downloaded the app, open the App Store iPhone App Store Icon and download it now. If it’s your first time launching the app, follow the on-screen instructions to give FaceApp permission to use your camera and access your photos.
Take or select a photo. You have a few different options: You’ll see your camera roll at the bottom of the screen. To select an existing photo, tap it. To take a new photo, align your face in the ″Find a Face″ outline, and then tap the shutter button (the large circle) to snap the photo. To search the web for celebrity photos, tap CELEBS near the bottom of the screen (to the right of "FACES."
Tap the Fun tab. It’s at the bottom of the screen. The filters on this tab are all free, while those on the Style tab are for Pro users only. The Fun filters include different genders, ages, and goofy facial expressions.
Swipe left across the icon menu. It’s at the bottom of the screen. This is where you’ll find various facial expressions and other transformations you can add to your face.
Tap an expression filter. This applies the filter to your selfie. Some filters are only available in collage mode, which is a mode that allows you to add up to four filtered versions of your selfie to a single photo grid. Tap Add to Collage if prompted to do so. This adds the filtered photo to one of the 4 squares in the collage. If you add a photo to the collage, tap + in one of the other squares to return to the filter screen. Now you can tap another expression and add the new selfie to the collage.
Save or share your creation. Here’s how you can save the selfie or collage to your iPhone or share it with others: Tap the Sharing iPhone Share icon near the top-right corner of the screen. Drag the image up or down until you’ve highlighted the part you want to use. Tap Next to crop. Select an app to share with (or tap Save Image to save it to your phone or tablet). Use that app’s instructions to send or post the photo.
Upgrading to Pro. FaceApp has more serious filters (as opposed to the silly options on the Fun tab), including makeup, hairstyles, sunglasses, and beards. To upgrade to Pro: Tap the STYLE tab at the bottom of the screen. Tap any filter. Tap GO PRO beneath the preview image. A list of prices and subscription options will appear. You can sign up for a monthly, yearly, or lifetime plan. Select a plan and tap Continue. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your purchase.
