Do you have a Trident that needs repairing in Minecraft? Similar to other items with durability meters, you'll need to combine it with another Trident on an Anvil or use the Mending enchantment. If you don't mind losing its current enchantments, you can use a crafting table or grindstone. Here's how to repair a Trident in Minecraft on all platforms.

Easy Ways to Fix Your Trident Weapon in Minecraft

Using an Anvil

Interact with an Anvil. This can be crafted using 3 Iron Blocks and 4 Iron Ingots. Use this method if you want to preserve the enchantment on your Trident.

Combine the damaged Trident and another Trident. Both weapons will combine and you'll receive a repaired Trident. If you have enchantments on the second Trident, it will be added to the first.

Using a Crafting Table

Open the crafting table. This will open a 3x3 crafting grid. You can also use a Grindstone. This method will remove any enchantments on your Trident except for the Curse of Vanishing and Curse of Binding.

Combine the damaged Trident and another Trident. The durability of the second Trident will be added to the first. Any enchantments on either Trident will be removed.

Using the Mending Enchantment

Find the Mending enchantment. Mending is a Treasure enchantment, which means it can only be found rather than crafted. You can find Mending in jungle temple chests, stronghold chests, and ancient city chests. You may also find it by fishing, fighting raids, or trading with a librarian villager. The Mending enchantment uses experience points to restore the durability of an item.

Enchant the Trident with Mending. Use an Anvil to combine the Mending enchantment book with the Trident.

Gain XP. You can mine, trade with villagers, kill mobs, and more to earn experience points. As you get XP, it'll be used by the Mending enchantment to repair the Trident.
