Despite this, there are a few artists who are dedicated to the art and continue to serve the industry with their remarkable talent. One such artist whose contribution has kept the theatre alive in these modern times is Venkata Kotaiah. He is a harmonium master from Addanki mandal of Bapatla district, Singarakonda in Andhra Pradesh.
For the past 30 years, Venkata Kotaiah’s melodious voice and singing skills have kept the audience hooked as they are fond of the artist’s talent. People find it pleasing to their ears when he plays the harmonium while also crooning tracks and poetries.
Ever since his childhood, Venkata was interested in learning musical instruments and singing. He was extremely curious to learn the harmonium. With his father already excelling in the field of theatre, Venkata also generated passion at an early age. Since then, he has performed more than 400 poetries. In addition to performing, Venkata is also a master who provides training to those seeking to make their names in the art and musical industry.
Venkata, till now, has already trained 10,000 students and polished their skills to sing songs and play the harmonium. He has also contributed to helping many students excel in the field of drama. Venkata, in a recent interaction with News 18, spoke about his journey in the theatre and shared that he has endured many hardships.
Reiterating that the journey has been fruitful, the artist also noted that he is excelling in the profession of harmonium master due to his love for theatre and art. He further added that it is required for society to support artists like him who are contributing the art and theatres to be specific. He also displayed his singing skills during the interaction.
