Renowned Telugu actor Machu Vishnu is set to make a spectacular comeback with the highly anticipated pan-India movie, Kannappa. This historical film delves into the life of Bhakta Kannappa, celebrated as a legendary devotee of Lord Vishnu. Directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Mukhesh Kumar Singh, known for his epic storytelling through popular TV serials like Mahabharata, Dharam Veer, and Meera, Kannappa is creating waves in the entertainment industry.
In a surprising development, rumours stated that Jr. NTR has been roped in for a significant role in the movie, elevating excitement levels among fans. The film is produced by the veteran of Telugu cinema, Mohan Babu, who is also the father of the lead actor, Manchu Vishnu.
Earlier reports hinted at pan-India star Prabhas portraying the role of Lord Vishnu in the film. With Jr. NTR’s inclusion, the prospect of witnessing two superstars sharing the screen has ignited fans’ dreams of cinematic grandeur. The movie’s auspicious pooja ceremony took place on August 18, and filming is already underway, with plans to shoot some sequences in New Zealand.
Anticipation runs high among fans as they eagerly await potential Bollywood actors joining the cast. Actress Nupur Senon has been cast as the female lead in the epic saga. The screenplay, penned by Sai Madhav Burra and Paruchuri Gopala Krishna, promises a compelling narrative. Kannappa is set to be produced grandly under the banner of Ava Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory.
Notably, renowned music composer Mani Sharma will craft the film’s musical score. The movie is slated for release in the early months of 2024, promising a grand cinematic experience.
Meanwhile, Jr. NTR is concurrently working on the highly anticipated movie Devara, written and directed by Koratala Shiva. This action-packed Indian film, set to release in five languages, features Janhvi Kapoor as the lead heroine and Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan as the main antagonist, further adding to its star-studded appeal.
