The mishap occurred around 40 km from here near Janapav Kuti, they said.
Manpur police station sub-inspector said that all the deceased were cattle traders and are identified as Farooq (35), Rafique (40), Zahid (25) and Rakesh (27).
They hailed from Sunderal township in the neighbouring Dhar district, he said, adding that the condition of two of the injured was serious.
