94 hypersensitive booths in Koppal

KOPPAL :Out of the total 210 polling booths for the Koppal byelection, 94 have been identified as hypersensitive, 65 as sensitive and 51 normal polling booths as sensitive.Every hypersensitive booth will have security of one head-constable, four constables and two home-guards. Every sensitive booth will have one head constable, three constables and two homeguards, while every normal polling booth will have security of one head-constable, two constables and two home-guards. Five Deputy Superintendents of Police, eight Circle Police Inspectors, 14 Police Sub-Inspectors, 30 Assistant Sub-Inspectors, 44 head-constables and 121 constables are present in the district for security arrangements for the poll. Two DySPs, eight CPIs, 21 PSIs, 36 ASIs, 178 HCs, 741 PCs and 500 HGs would be roped in from outside the district.Checkposts have been set up with 48 police personnel at Munirabad, Hosur Cross, Agalakera and Belagatti to check illegal transport of money, liquor and other materials. Meanwhile, nine cases of illegal transportation of liquor have been registered and 10 persons have been arrested in this connection. Contestants have been instructed to get their poll expenditure accounts verified in three phases on September 15 or 16, Sep 20 and 25, official sources stated.
