ACB to submit report on illegal structures

HYDERABAD: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), probing unauthorised constructions which have come up in large numbers in the city, is going to submit its report to the Andhra Pradesh High Court soon. The ACB has taken up the probe as per the directions of the court about three weeks ago.As many as eight special teams of the ACB took up random checking and inspected 300 individual, mulch-storied apartments and commercial complexes, in almost all the 18 circles of the GHMC.Over 30,000 buildings have come up in the last five years.The High Court had last month, while expressing concern over rampant unauthorised structures and the GHMC's failure to take action against errant builders, asked the ACB to probe the illegal constructions and submit a report within a month.
