New Delhi: Iconic rock band Aerosmith will perform in Mumbai, its first performance in the country, the group said on its official website.
Aerosmith, with 14 albums to its credit and a career spanning over 4 decades, will hold the concert on June 2., according to www.aerosmith.com.
The Mumbai show is part of a wider tour by the band that will also see it travel through Europe and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
Aerosmith released its first album in 1973 and has sung some of the most popular power anthems like I Don't Want To Miss A Thing from the 1998 blockbuster film Armageddon, as well as Dream On and Crazy.
The band, considered by some as America's reply to the Rolling Stones, has a large following among urban middle-class Indians and its songs are regularly requested on the country's music TV channels and radio stations.
