CHENNAI: Gold jewellery is a woman’s best friend. So, it’s no wonder Nathella Jewellery saw women waiting with bated breath on a Sunday morning, for the winner of the 2012 Light Weight Collection contest to be announced. Actress Andrea Jeremiah graced the occasion and also selected the lucky winner. Nathella Jewellery had organised a two-month contest where Andrea was asked to choose her favourite design out of the eight pendants from its Light Weight Collection and interested contestants were asked to guess her pick. Out of 1,900 participants, 51 took the right guess and were shortlisted for a lucky draw.Andrea selected Mohideen Pillai of Tirunelveli as the lucky winner and gifted a pendant worth Rs 43,000. Also, consolation prizes were given away to the rest of the participants by Prapanna Kumar, Director, Nathella Jewellery.
