Chennai: The Madras High court today granted anticipatory bail to playback singer S P Balasubramaniam's son S P Charan, who apprehended arrest following a complaint against him by actress Sonar Heiden of an attempt to outrage her modesty.
Granting bail for two weeks, Justice G Rajasuria directed Charan, also a playback singer, to execute a personal bond for Rs 10,000 with two sureties for like amounts and report daily until further orders.
Sonar said the incident took place at a party to celebrate the success of Tamil film 'Mangatha' on September 14.
She had filed a complaint under Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act and IPC section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty).
