Apple launches 8GB iPhone 5c; may hit Indian store shelves
While the device is expected to be available in India, it is unknown as to when it will make its way to India.

New Delhi: Adding a new varaint to its phone lineup, Apple has launched the 8GB iPhone 5c model, and is listed on the Apple UK, China and Australia stores. The phone is available on the UK store for £429 - £40 ($66) less than the 16GB model.

Apart from the reduced storage, the phone is identical to the 16GB and 32GB models launched way back in October. It has a 4-inch Retina display, A6 processor, and an 8 megapixel camera.

While the device is expected to be available in India, it is unknown as to when it will make its way to India. Apple apparently has come up with the 8GB iPhone 5c following the lacklustre demand for its plastic-backed iPhone 5c that comes at a higher-than-expected price.
