New Delhi: So, we've got the new iPad, but what about the original one? Don't let the naming (or the lack of it) confuse you, here, because we have the iPad and the new iPad, and the iPad 2 slotted in the middle somewhere. Anyway, what we're talking about here is the original model, which was launched a way back in the month of April in 2010.
The first generation iPad is currently selling on the Apple store for a cool $299 (approximately Rs. 14,876). For those of you'll who have forgotten about this device, we'll remind you it's got the same 9.7-inch widescreen display and comes with 16 gigs of memory onboard.
The processor is a 1GHz Apple A4 powered one with a low power system on chip. Coming back to the screen, it is and LED-backlit glossy widescreen multi touch display with IPS technology, a 1024-by-768-pixel resolution at 132 pixels per inch (ppi) and comes with fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating.
It's the Wi-Fi only version that they're selling at that price and as part of connectivity options, there's Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR as well. Sensors include an accelerometer and an ambient light sensor.
The only issue is that this is the refurbished one, but like we've all got to know, Apple has a certain policy on their refurbished models, which include that they all come with a 1 year warranty, they all include a brand new battery and an outer shell as well.
