BANGALORE: On Thursday, with the theme 'Forests: Nature at your service', around 350 students from across the city displayed artistic talents through drawings and essays at the competition organised by Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) in association with the Department of Ecology and Environment before the World Environment Day.
Students were divided into three categories primary, middle and high school for the drawing competition and essay competition was held for the high school students.A S Sadashiviah, Chairman, KSPCB said, "This is one of our initiative to generate awareness about environment among the students and youths. We will be judging the best drawings and essays and they will be awarded on June 5."

"All of the paintings are so good that it is becoming difficult for us to judge for the best one. Probably we need to award two second prizes in each category" said one official from the KSPCB. Students from across 25 schools participated in the event.
