Bogra (Bangladesh): Sri Lanka openers Upul Tharanga and Michael van Dort took just eight overs to secure a 10-wicket victory over Bangladesh after play resumed following a seven-hour rain delay on Saturday on the fourth day of the second and final cricket Test.
Needing just 43 more runs to reach an easy target of 120 and clinch the Test series 2-0, Tharanga added 23 runs to his overnight score of 48, while his opening partner van Dort -- resuming on 22 -- contributed 18 more runs with little resistance from Bangladeshi bowlers.
Tharanga's knock came off 87 balls with eight boundaries and one six.
The pair wrapped up play in just 28 minutes after match officials decided to go ahead with the game.
The home side was bowled out for 201 after the tea break on the third day on Friday, with Muttiah Muralitharan snaring his 600th Test wicket.
Muralitharan removed Khaled Mashud in the second session to join Australian leg-spinner Shane Warne in the 600-wicket club.
Pace bowlers Lasith Malinga and Dilhara Fernando claimed three wickets apiece.
In the opening match of the series in southern Chittagong last week, Muralitharan became the world's first cricketer to claim more than 1000 wickets in international cricket -- in both Tests and ODIs matches.
In reply to Bangladesh's first innings total of 234, Sri Lanka was bowled out for 316 in its first innings, with pace bowler Shahadat Hossain claiming his maiden five Test-wicket haul for 86 runs.
Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh by eight wickets in the first Test at Chittagong, and also clinched a three-match limited-overs series 2-1.
