BBMP to inspect metro route

BANGALORE: The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) will conduct another inspection of the roads along the Metro route on September 20. Mayor Sharadamma  conducted an inspection of the roads and given Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) a deadline of September 25 to fix all the potholes on the roads along the metro construction. “We have asked BMRCL to first fill up the potholes.  We will conduct an inspection again. We also expect a report on the status of work done since the last inspection”, said B R Nanjundappa, ruling party leader in the BBMP. “We are fixing the roads temporarily. The rains also influence the condition of these roads. And with the ongoing construction work, the condition of roads is likely to worsen. But we will try and fix it,” said Yashwant Chavan, Public Relations Officer, BMRCL, told Sunday Express.
