Hyderabad: Director Vishal Bhardwaj today said he was keen on making another film for children before the next edition of the International Children's Film Festival (ICFF).
"I have an intention of making a children's film, but not thought of a subject as such, but I will definitely be making a children's film and it would be ready by the next international children's film festival here," he told reporters on the sidelines of the ongoing 17th International Children's Film Festival here.
The director-composer, who made his directorial debut with 'Makdee' in 2002 and later the critically acclaimed 'Blue Umbrella' said he did not have any qualms funding the project, adding right now he was busy making Bollywood films, composing music and is pre-occupied with other commitments.
Bhardwaj, who has been associated with Children's Film Society of India (CFSI) since 1994, rued that producers did not seem interested in making more number of children's films which is "very sad".
Bhardwaj, however, said "I am looking towards making a children's film and it will happen in the near future."
"Lack of distribution network compared to Bollywood commercial films can be one of the reasons for the producers not showing much interest in making children films," he said, adding with the advent of digital technology, the future for children films looks very bright as it can be made with very low budget.
Replying to a query, Bhardwaj said if anyone approaches him with a good script (for children's film), he would not hesitate to produce it.
