Bhutan girl ends life in Kovai

COIMBATORE: A 20-year-old Bhutan national girl studying in a city college allegedly committed suicide by consuming excessive sleeping pills.Police said Jang Ma was found unconscious in her room in the PG hostel at Kalapatty on Tuesday and was rushed to a private hospital by her friends. Battling for life for over five days, Jang Ma died in the hospital on Saturday.“We have not recovered any suicide note from her room. According to the doctors, she had consumed excessive sleeping pills which caused her death,” police said. The Peelamedu police have filed a case. Further investigation is on.
